Privacy Policy

SuppChecker ("the extension") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected and why.

Data collected

Anonymous (automatic)

  • Anonymous user identifier (UUID generated locally, not linked to your identity)
  • Number of products analyzed and popup openings
  • Identifiers of consulted molecules (e.g., vitamin_d3)
  • Names of features used (e.g., adding to stack)
  • Preferred language (FR/EN)

Optional (with explicit consent)

  • Email address, only if you voluntarily enter it in the welcome form or popup banner

Data NOT collected

  • No visited URLs are transmitted
  • No page content (title, price, description) is sent
  • No third-party identifiers (advertising cookies, browser fingerprint)
  • No personal health data

Storage and processing

Data is stored locally (chrome.storage.local) and synced to Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the EU. One document per user, updated via merge.

Purposes

  • Improve the relevance of scientific verdicts
  • Identify the most consulted molecules to prioritize our research
  • Inform you about updates (only if you provide an email)

Sharing

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Data is processed by Google Firebase as a technical subprocessor.

View your locally stored data via your browser's developer tools

Delete your data

Uninstall the extension or run chrome.storage.local.remove("sg_telemetry") in the console

Request deletion

Request deletion of your data from Firestore by contacting us
